This course is designed to introduce the student to flying a turbojet aircraft and gain an appreciation for the handling characteristics of a commercial jet aircraft. A 3 hour preflight briefing on normal operations, including flight director and autopilot usage, prepares the student to fly the B737 simulator. The emphasis is on the coordinated use of thrust and flight controls, flaps and speedbrakes, as a series of approaches are performed.

FLYING THE B767 SIMULATOR -

The study material of course IGCT is put into practice by flying the Boeing 767 full motion colour visual simulator on a 2 hour real time flight. The training includes Holds, ILS approaches and Go-Arounds to illustrate the use of the CDU (control display unit). AIRLINE INTERVIEW SIMULATOR PREPARATION -

This course is designed to introduce the student to flying a turbojet aircraft and gain an appreciation for the handling characteristics of a commercial jet aircraft. A 3 hour preflight briefing on normal operations, including flight director and autopilot usage, prepares the student to fly the simulator. The session is derived from published airline hiring tests to prepare the student for the airline interview.
