INTRODUCTION TO GLASS COCKPIT TECHNOLOGY - IGCT

This course introduces the student to Flight Management Systems and the electronic ADI and HSI. The CDU (control display unit) is examined in depth as it enters data for the LNAV and VNAV modes of operation. IRS (inertial reference system) is discussed as it applies to the FMC (flight management computer). A typical flight profile is illustrated using the Honeywell FMS. This course is a prerequisite for the FTD767 and SIM767 courses.

FLYING THE B767 FLIGHT TRAINING DEVICE - I767F

The study material of course IGCT is put into practice by flying the Boeing 767 flight training device on a 3 hour real time flight. The training includes Holds, ILS approaches and Go-Arounds to illustrate the use of the CDU (control display unit). Two classroom sessions are held as a review of the programming of the FMC (flight management computer) and CDU
