Aircraft Systems

INTRODUCTION TO TURBOJET AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS
$275.00

This course introduces the many systems found on modern commercial turbojet aircraft. All systems are examined with regard to the various components and their operation. Basic concepts of system operation are covered which would occur in normal flight operations. The student will have a basic awareness of these systems which will prepare them for their first interview or ground school in corporate, commuter or airline turbojet operations.

To be taken in conjunction with the INTRODUCTION TO TURBOJET SYSTEMS COURSE (ITAS) this course specifically addresses the Boeing 727 systems.

Course Length: 2 hours
Prerequisite: INTRODUCTION TO TURBOJET AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS

INTRODUCTION TO AIRCRAFT PERFORMANCE CONCEPTS
$150.00

The theory behind the charts and calculations of normal and non-normal operations of multi-engine aircraft is examined. The meaning of V speeds, segment climb and obstacle clearance are explained. The course uses examples of takeoff, climb, cruise, holding and landing charts to illustrate these calculations. The charts for contaminated runways, cold weather operations and non-normal ops, such as flaps up, are discussed.

Course Length: 6 hours classroom
